HDFC Bank Implements a 2-Step Authentication Process

HDFC Bank has implemented a new security solution for its customers - Secure Access. The aim of this 2-step authentication process is to protect your customers from fraudsters and hackers - who are looking to find a way to access their accounts.
Secure Access is an enhanced security service for all its Third Party Registered Customers. This service will monitor NetBanking Third Party Transactions (TPT) with an aim of blocking / reporting any deviant transactions. Secure Access covers the following transactions types:
How Secure Access works?
HDFC Bank's NetBanking login will now be a two-step process:
This 2-step process is a security measure, which on entering his customer iwill verify whether the customer is registered for Third Party Transfers (TPT). If he is not Third Party Transfer registered, the next screen will have a box to key-in his password. If he is registered for Third Party Transfers, he will shown an image and text that have been personalized by him during registration for Secure Access. In order for customers to perform a TPT transaction, it is mandatory that they register for Secure Access Service.
Simply put, Secure Access is an additional layer of security that is essentially a solution protecting your customer's account from hackers and fraudsters.

In Screen 2, he customer will have to key-in his password |
