The new pricing model has also done away with the software upgradation fee for the first year, which is Rs 1,200. This feature is aimed to help smaller ventures who don't have the capacity to invest a lot. "The feedback we received from startups is that they might have a good product but the investment is very difficult in the initial stage. With this revised pricing, we want to lessen the burden on new companies," said Nair.
Among other pricing models, the premium package charges Rs 25,000 as set-up fee while the privilege package charges Rs 40,000 for the same.
CCAvenue.com is nearly 12-year-old and claims to have on board 85 per cent of Indian retail merchants. Nair also informed that over the past 12 months, the company has seen around 18 crore transactions via CCAvenue.com payment gateway.
Asked whether CCAvenue.com wanted to tackle competition in the startup space by slashing its fees, Nair said that price was not its value proposition. "Pricing is not what drives companies to our services. Our value proposition is that our payment gateway provides various other business enhancement features which help a company monitor its transaction in real time," he added.
CCAvenue.com offers various value-added features like live monitoring pro, which enables a merchant to monitor which server is working and which one is not. There are more value-added services like analytics-based features and mobile checkout page, among others.
